Continuing Education

There are two ways to earn continuing education hours:

1.        SHIFT courses and continuing education events—These hours are automatically recorded within the learner’s profile on the SHIFT platform. The learner will have access to these events free of charge as long as their credential or certification is in good standing.

2.       External courses and events—These hours require pre-approval through SHIFT.  The SHIFT- External Continuing Education (CE): Pre-Approval Request Form must be submitted to SHIFT for approval two weeks prior to the course/event or registration deadline. If approved, the learner submits the documented hours from the event. The documentation must be provided/certified by the agency sponsoring the course/event.
